Arnaud Doucet is a Professor of Statistics at University of Oxford and a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Google DeepMind. He was an Institute of Mathematical Statistics Medallion (IMS) Lecturer in 2016, was elected IMS Fellow in 2017 and awarded the Guy Silver Medal from the Royal Statistical Society in 2020. His research interests lie in the development and analysis of efficient computational methods for inference and learning, machine learning, signal processing and related areas. Recently, he has been very interested in generative modeling (in particular denoising diffusion models) and computational optimal transport.
